Phase One of Arts Square contains the redevelopment of the historic Randall Brothers Building as a dining facility and the construction of the Film Arts Building. Seated on the corner of Wallace Street and Marietta Street NW, this new facility will be the start of bridging visual arts with Georgia Tech’s academic excellence and will enable students, community members, and companies access to quality spaces for film production.
The Film Arts facility provides ample studio and screening room space, pre/post-production spaces, and support and administrative space while leveraging multiple large outdoor balconies to enjoy views of Arts Square, Georgia Tech, and Midtown Atlanta. The Film Arts Building also serves as a playground for sustainable initiatives, from the use of mass timber for the primary structure to a green roof, and an algae-growing facade, all to promote the good health and well-being of the users.
